No I mean polar bears are cool! but they can probably also run and swim faster than you, so a safe distance is a long way away with an elephant gun. (semi-auto .50 cal, not that the intention is to shoot the bear, but hungry polar bear on your tail… nasty! I am old enough to remember the story Shako in the early 2000AD LOL (no LOL))
like the commenters say, maybe cruel to the polar bears to keep them in such an enclosure,but would be interesting to read their thoughts and see if they are content with lounging around with all the fish and meat they need. Throw in the odd stupid feminist for variety LOL

I Guess actually the question I would ask is did the bear actually bite the daft cow? looking at that picture the obvious bite points, head, shoulders, arms, appear untouched… mind you she did have one clucking massive arse…
I would further guess none of those bears has ever made a kill, and to further confuse them the only thing thrown in their cage is food eh! (unless they put fish in the water which would be a good recreation for them)
I guess an idyllic scenario would be like an aquaponics waste-disposal setup, that maybe could sustain salmon not just tilapia, with a big loop that runs through the bear enclosure LOL idyllic for bears anyway! Ah! just spotted the flaw in the plan… fish can get in, bears can get out… need bars on the inlet/exhaust… which may be good for the fish… warning! bars! I guess as far as the bear-enclosure path of the stream, going to want equally good distractions probably to prevent bears just congregating around inlet/outlet choke-points LOL all gets complicated trying to create any idyllic state other than despotate eh!
